The EBA has partnered with the Edina Community Foundation and the Ready-Set-Connect program to help aid in the administration of scholarship funds available to eligible community members.


EBA scholarships will only be given to those who:

A) Complete the Connect Card Registration (http://edinachallenge.org/ready-set-connect.html),

and

B) Qualify under the Connect Card eligibility guidelines.

Please note that the Connect Card application includes directions for both Somali and Spanish speaking families.

If your family qualifies for the Connect Card, you will be given a unique code for each child you will need to use during the completion of your registration(s) in the EBA’s database system.

If your family qualifies for the Connect Card based on your application, EBA scholarships will be given in the following amounts:

Kindergarten program fees - $120

  • Families will be responsible for the $25 EBA administrative fee
  • Any additional clinic fees will be the direct responsibility of the player’s family

1st-4th Grade Boys & 1st-3rd Grade Girls program fees - $185

  • Families will be responsible for the $25 EBA administrative fee
  • Any additional clinic fees will be the direct responsibility of the player's family

4th-12th Grade Girls program fees - $205

  • Families will be responsible for the $25 EBA administrative fee

5th-12th Grade Boys program fees - $205

  • Families will be responsible for the $25 EBA administrative fee

4th-8th Grade Boys and Girls Travel program fees - Girls $205, Boys $205

  • Travel players will be directly responsible for the following:
  • Tryout fee $25
  • Travel Fees - 4th Grade $295; 5th-8th Grade $450
  • Travel families are also directly responsible for uniform purchase ~ $99, personal equipment (shoes, bag, basketball, etc.), extra apparel, entrance fees to tournaments (typically $5-$10 per person), any out-of-town tournament expenses, etc.

If your family does not qualify for an EBA scholarship based on the Connect Card qualification guidelines, all program fees are the responsibility of the player's family.

All Connect Card registrations must be completed by the following dates:

  • Travel program – September 26, 2019
  • All other House and Rec League programs (K-12) – October 10, 2019

Failure to complete the Connect Card registration will result in no scholarship dollars given.
