Welcome Coach Dre Jefferson
On April 25th, Edina High School introduced Dre Jefferson as its next Girls Varsity Basketball Coach. Since then, Coach Jefferson has been actively building relationships with the high school players and their families as well as the EBA Board. Tomorrow night, June 3, Coach Coach Jefferson will host a 'Meet & Greet' at EHS from 6 to 7pm inside Door 6 near the Activities Office. We hope you will stop by to introduce yourself and your daughter(s). SAVE THE DATE: Coach Jefferson and his staff will offer two camps later this summer for girls, K-8th grade. Additional details and the registration link will be sent out next week shortly, but you should mark your calendars now for July 13-15 and August 1-4.

Summer Camps and Clinics
It’s not too late to sign up your player for Summer Hoops! If you are looking for opportunities to get your son or daughter out the house and in the gym this summer, look no further! Joe Burger, Dre Jefferson, Will DeBerg and Jaime Gaard Chapman will again be hosting camps and clinics this summer for players of all ages and abilities. Registration is now open and can be found on the Edina Community Ed website. CLICK HERE for a comprehensive list of what’s available in and around Edina.

Board Members Needed
If you love basketball and have a passion helping kids grow and develop both on and off the court, the Edina Basketball Association is the place for you! The EBA is currently seeking talented, resourceful, and self-motivated individuals to fill two critical roles (Girls Tournament Director and Sponsorship/Fundraising/Donations Coordinator) on our Board of Directors. If either of these roles sound interesting to you, please contact incoming EBA Board President, Andy Stotts at andy.r.stotts@unfi.com

Join Us for the Edina 4th of July Parade
We are pleased to announce that the EBA will be participating in the Edina 4th of July Parade this year! Our goal is to have a minimum of 50 youth and adults in our group, demonstrating how much fun it is to be part of the Edina Basketball community. We hope you will join us for this fun event on Monday, July 4, 2022. CLICK HERE to sign up. Additional details will be communicated towards the end of June, but you can count on this being a 2-hour fun experience!

Hornet Skills Challenge
The Hornet Skills Challenge (HSC) is back again this summer! Like previous years, there is no cost to participate, but players must register to be eligible for the HSC t-shirt and monthly drawings. The Hornet Skills Challenge is a great way to motivate players of all ages to focus on skill-development versus simply shooting around. We hope everyone will “Accept the Challenge” this summer and work on their game for at least 20 minutes per day. CLICK HERE to learn more and to register.

Hoop Dreams Start Here!
We know you love basketball and like us, you can’t wait for the season to start this fall. Until then, we hope you spread the word about how much fun it is to play basketball in Edina. Hoop dreams DO start here, and we are committed to doing whatever it takes to help make your player’s basketball experience, the best it can be. CLICK HERE to watch last year’s hype video. MARK YOUR CALENDAR… Registration for Travel (Grades 4-8) opens on Monday, August 1 and House and Rec (Grades K-12) on Thursday, September 1.

Keep Hoop'n Everyone!!!
