Support for the Banks Family
The EBA would like to make our basketball community aware of Ian Banks, who is bravely battling glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Ian is a dedicated husband and father and has coached for several years, giving his time and energy to support players on and off the court. As he transitions home after months of treatment and hospitalization, he and his family face significant challenges with the cost of around-the-clock care. A GoFundMe has been created to help provide essential medical support and relieve the financial burden for Ian’s wife, Abby, and their children Beckett, Margot, and Pippa. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. [CLICK HERE] to support the Banks family.

House and Rec Coaches Needed
The EBA’s House and Rec Programs are parent-coached programs which require nearly 200 volunteers annually. Parent coaches serve as ambassadors for these programs, creating a fun, safe, and positive learning environment for all players. The EBA expects its coaches to embrace the idea that they are important role models and that their positive actions will have a lasting impact on their players. If you share this mindset, we hope you will consider coaching this season. [CLICK HERE] to register. Please note: all coaches must pass a criminal background check each year and complete child safety training and concussion certification once every three years.
